A Smile Goes a Long Way: Ryan's Story

Ryan's story is one of awareness, and courage. With April being Autism Awareness month we wanted to highlight his story as one that inspires our mission, and hope for a more inclusive and accepting future.

According to the CDC 1 and 54 people identify with Autism. After struggling early in school and being diagnosed with Autism, Ryan's biggest fear was that he didn’t smile very much and needed practice. Social situations scared him. Wanting to overcome this, he applied to join our team. Today his smile is on full display as Ryan was hired for the first time ever!

Ryan set a goal. He wanted a job that would help him gain social and financial skills he could apply towards his path to college. He is passionate about becoming a computer engineer and merging the things he loves with his talents. He's on top of the world and a step closer to making his dream a reality.
